Frequently Asked Questions

Needtickets.com cannot currently enter into dialogue with individual users, but we have taken the time to anticipate the questions that will be on the tips of your tongues. Hopefully they will tell you all you need to know.

I can't find an event listed on needtickets.com which I've seen advertised?

There are various reasons for why this is occurring:

  • Needtickets.com relies on data that it's supplied by the online ticket shops, so there is a chance we will display incorrect information.
  • Check the needtickets.com 'on sale soon' page, the event you are looking for may not yet be on sale.
  • Needtickets.com is using the best software that we could find to match up mis-spellings, but it can't cope with everything thrown at it, so check the spelling of the event that you're looking for.

If you're not sure how to look for events on needtickets.com take a look at the How To Use Needtickets guide.

  • Event or artist names that begin with a 'The' can be tricky. Some online ticket shops will include it and others won't. It can also be an artist preference issue of how they want to be listed. So try searching with a 'the' and then without.
  • If you want to see specific artists/band(s) at a festival try searching under the festival name rather than the name of an artist.
  • Try and be sure to put sufficient information into the search box, entering just the first letter or two will make it harder for us to match our information to your needs.
  • For various reasons details of an event may be embargoed.
  • Tickets may not be on general sale or available online

Can I find every live music ticket on Needtickets.com?

Nearly, but not quite; some tickets are only made available to registered groups such as fan club members, previous ticket purchasers or those that have signed up to specific ticket services.

The Needtickets.com search results also do not include the following:

  • Sites which re-sell tickets at more than their original price
  • Auction sites
  • Services on which individuals are selling tickets that they can no longer use
  • Services that partner with a ticket agent.
  • Pre-sales for existing ticket buyers and registered users
  • Some small venue box offices

For these reasons you may not see the service that you use to book tickets listed within the ticket search results.

From time to time such services will advertise on Needtickets.com

Does Needtckets.com sell tickets?

We'll link you direct to the booking pages of all the services that can sell you tickets at the original face value prices, but we won't be selling you a ticket. We only link direct to legitimate services that provide excellent levels of customer services, as it's their services that you'll have to contact should the need arise.

On occasion Needtickets.com indicates that tickets are available, but when I click through to the online ticket shop that you're linking to, they're not in on sale?

We're aware of how frustrating this can be, but it is an issue that can't be avoided, as we can only rely on the information that we're provided with by the tickets shops that we link to. Their listings (which needtickets.com is linking to) may be indicating that tickets are available when they no longer have them for sale. It's usually a question of waiting for their databases to catch up with the quantity of tickets that they have sold.

Are theatre or sports events included in your search results?

Not yet, but we'll be launching theatre and sports channels as soon as we can.

What if I have a problem with my order, my tickets haven't arrived etc?

Needtickets.com cannot help you directly, as we haven't sold you the tickets you have purchased. Our advice is to check with the customer service and/or FAQ pages on the service from which you purchased your tickets

It seems as though no tickets are now available, what options do I have?

Keep checking back on Needtickets.com for details of additional shows being added to a tour or extra ticket releases.

An additional show(s) may be added at the venue either shortly after the original show was on sale, or at a later date.

Extra seating tickets may become available in the future, additional standing tickets are very rarely released.. There are no guarantees that this will occur, but the larger the venue, the more likely extra tickets will be placed on sale.

Such seats may not necessarily be at the back of a venue, often additional seating tickets that have placed on sale are near (but to the side of) the stage. Keep checking back on needtickets.com, particularly from a month to two weeks prior to the date of the event.

Sign up to the free Needtickets ticket info service and we'll do our best to inform you when such tickets become available

Alternatively be prepared to travel. The UK isn't the biggest country on the planet. If tickets are sold out in London, but are available in Birmingham you can be there in two hours, less if you're heading for the NEC which is adjacent to the M6.

If you can't find the answers you're looking for on our Frequently Asked Questions Page, you can also try the How To Use Needtickets page or take a look at our Ticket Buying Guide.

Why isn't my local town/city included in your place/date search list?

The Needtickets place list focuses on the towns in which major live music events happen regularly. Primarily this is because the towns and cities included contain more than one live music venue which stages concerts that can be booked online. In order to keep the list to a manageable length we have included the 40 towns/cites in the UK that currently host more live music events than any other. The list will be constantly reviewed depending on which new venues open and those that no longer stage live music events.
