Whether you wish to purchase tickets, or are simply looking for information regarding events that are being staged across the UK, your first step is to find details of the event by using search. The following search options are available.

Search using an event or artist name

If you know the name of the event or artist that you wish to see enter the name into the artist/event search box on the home page and then click the search button. Generally you can find an artist/event effectively by using the first 5/6 characters of the name of the artist or event. It’s generally a good idea not to use a ‘The’ when it is generally included in an artist name. For example search for The Strokes by entering 'Strokes' and not 'The Strokes'.

You will then see a results page listing all the forthcoming performances associated with the event you have searched for.

If you receive an error message when searching for an artist it could be due to:

• A mis-spelling of the name of an event/artist so try searching by the first 5/6 letters of the name only
• No dates are currently scheduled for future performances so no online booking service has any tickets available
• If you can't find tickets or the event you are looking for try our FAQs page and we'll do our best to explain why the situation is occurring.

Place & Date Search

If you click the 'Place and Date' button on the search box you'll find options for finding out what's happening where and when. Not every major town and city in the UK contains a venue that stages major events. Therefore only those that do are featured on a drop down list.

Advanced Search

Use this option for more specific information, you can combine date, location and artist searches in order to find specific events and avoid scanning through multiple search results. As so many events are staged in London, this facility is particularly recommended if you’re searching for events in the capital.

Instant Event Access

Often there's no need to search for the most popular events. Select any event from the 'On Sale Now', 'Still Available' or 'Recommended' lists and you'll be taken direct to the list of venues at which the event is occurring.

Checking ticket availability

The first page of search results will confirm the details of the event that you have searched for and inform you whether tickets are still available. The inclusion of 'AVAILABLE' is informing you that a minimum of one online booking service is offering tickets for sale.

Please note that the inclusion of 'AVAILABLE' does not guarantee that tickets can still be booked online. It is indicating that a minimum of one online booking service is suggesting that they have tickets for sale. The inclusion of 'NOT AVAILABLE' indicates that tickets cannot currently be booked online on any of the major booking services in the UK. The event is currently completely sold out, but for further information on how you MAY be able to purchase tickets at a later date, see the needtickets.com How To Buy Tickets guide.

Purchasing Tickets

If tickets are 'AVAILABLE' you can click anywhere on the listing for the event that you wish to attend. You will then see the event detail page, which will list the online agents that are selling tickets for this event Standing or seating tickets are listed separately, as well as tickets which are being sold at different prices.

Click on the online booking service of your choice and you will be taken to the ticket booking page for this event on the selected booking service. You will not have to search again to find the event that you wish to attend.

On your selected online booking service you can see whether tickets are in fact available. You can also check what the final price for the ticket will be, once booking fees and postage charges are included. This will vary between the different booking services.

For seating tickets you will also be informed on the location of the ticket within the venue. To check details of the location of the seats that are available at major venues you can check the seating plans. If you click on a venue name within the search results you will be taken to the online page of the venue from which seating plans can be accessed. Please note that not every venue has a seating plan that is available online.

Please note that the ticket price is included to provide an indication of the quality of the tickets that are available. This price does not include booking fees and postal charges for the ticket.

You do not have to book any available tickets online. To book tickets by phone from a venue box office, you will find the number listed for each venue on the needtickets.com venue guide.

Terms and Conditions

Please note that if you purchase tickets from an online booking service featured in the needtickets.com search results, you are purchasing your tickets from your selected booking service and not from needtickets.com. Your purchase will be governed by the terms and conditions of the respective ticket shop.

If you have a query regarding your purchase you must contact the customer service team of the respective booking service. You will find their contact details listed on the ‘Customer Service’ page on needtickets.com, but you are not a customer of needtickets.com. We therefore cannot assist you with your ticket query further.

The online booking services featured in the needtickets.com search results have been selected because they offer tickets for sale at the original face value price (plus booking fee and potage) and because they offer a customer service facility that you can contact should you need to.

Needtickets.com does not guarantee that tickets are available when availability is indicated.
